How to get tickets to the Uffizi Gallery from the Official site

The best way to secure budget friendly, guaranteed, skip the line tickets for the Uffizi is by purchasing from their official site: https://www.Uffizi.it/

  • Pros: cheap, no middle man
  • Cons: Non refundable, non changeable. from the official site: ‘No changes may be made and no refunds will be given after booking’. A slightly convoluted buying process: I detail it step by step below.

Tickets from the official site fall into several categories, ranging from single entry tickets to combined tickets that also allow to visit other museums. In particular, you will find:

Single Ticket aka standard ticket (MOST POPULAR): this is the standard entry ticket for the Uffizi, available at full fare (adults), kids’ fare (up to 18 years of age) and reduce fare (EU youth card holders and special permit holders).

Passepartout ticket aka a 5 day pass that offers one single admission (with priority)  to Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens, National Archaeological Museum Opificio delle Pietre Dure

Standard tickets for the Uffizi Gallery usually have a long booking window up to a year, until the end of the solar year.

Need to know: There is not reliable day/ time when they go for sale so do not stay up to secure them as soon as they come out! There is not need to get them the moment of release and since timing is not set in stone, you may be up for nothing. I recommend to regularly keep an eye on the site instead; this is, usually, not a ‘you blink and they’re gone’ situation.

To get tickets from the official site:

Go on https://www.uffizi.it/en/tickets then click on the button at the top of the screen that says ‘tickets’

SCROLL down. On the left, you will find a column saying ‘Gli Uffizi, Single Tickets’. Click on the button ‘Buy Online’

Need to know: you will be directed to a page called webshop-b-tickets. THIS IS THE OFFICIAL TICKET SELLER, so you are in the right place!

The official page to buy Uffizi tickets will load. On the first page, you will see tickets for the first available date and subsequent ones.

If you need a date that is further in time, click on Galleria degli Uffizi button at the top and you can select date and time.

Once you have identified your date, click on tickets.

One more page will appear, with different time. There is a chance some slots will appear sold out. Those with availability will appear with a drop down menu that says ‘reduced, combo and other tickets’

Click on it and you’ll have a selection of tickets.

Passepartout Names: pass for adults

Need to know: free tickets come with an admin booking fee of 4 euro.

Select the number of tickets you need for each category, then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click Add To Shopping Cart.

The system will prompt you to accept terms and conditions of use, then to create an account to complete payment: this is standard for most museums in Italy. Follow instructions on the screen and complete purchase. Tickets will be sent to you by email and they are called ‘Print at home’: despite the name, you will be able to enter the Uffizi Gallery showing the electronic version.

How to get tickets to the Uffizi Gallery from Tiqets

Another excellent way to secure tickets to the Uffizi Gallery is by buying tickets on Tiqets.

The cost is usually a little higher, since this is a third parry provider, but it comes with some advantages such as:

Much easier interface, you don’t need anything near as many clicks as if buying from the official site

Often there is good cancellations option

Often there is last minute availability

Tiqets send you discounts for additional purchases so they can be a great place to shop if you have more than one museum planned (not just in Florence).

You can use code MAMALOVESITALY for a 5% discount if booking via this referral link or the calendar booking option below.

How to get tickets to the Uffizi Gallery from GetYourGuide

Another provider I trust for tickets in Italy is GetYourGuide. Despite their name, they do not only do tours and also have entrance tickets only or entrance bundled up with audioguide.

Pros: easy purchasing process online, often good cancellation options (check the small print as this changes all the time), often has last minute availability

Cons: more expensive than going direct; may not have ticket only but only bundles with additional services such as audio guide.

How to get Uffizi Tickets from a tour provider

Another best way to get Uffizi tickets is going through a reliable tour provider.

In this case, as well as the ticket you get a live guide so you will get a full package: entrance and guide.

This solution is significantly more expensive than ticket only so I feel it is paramount to get a good guide which will make the expense worth it.

I am super selective of tour providers and only recommend tours that I’ve consistently known as excellent. The Uffizi tours I recommend are:

LivTours Express First Entry Uffizi Tour – Semi-Private private tour (group made of up to 6 people only) with a specific short duration for visitors in a hurry but that still want to get a good overview of the top masterpieces in the Gallery.

The early entrance ensure a visit with very limited crowds. The tour is also available as private and, in that case, can be fully customized to your interests and needs.

Uffizi Tour for kids by LivTours – this is a fabulous tour for families with kids of primary school age and up. The tours is informative but presented in a way that is easy to understand and engaging for kids, has a limited duration (2h) and can be customized to special request and needs of your children.
